8 nabbed for drugs
MANILA, Philippines — Four construction workers were apprehended for alleged possession of shabu in Marikina City on Sunday.
Alberto Jamero, 28; Rolando Reyes, 39; Jeffrey Lachica, 34, and Raymond Montallana, 26, were initially accosted for playing cara y cruz in Barangay Bangka.
When frisked, police said the suspects yielded P6,800 worth of shabu.
In Mandaluyong, three persons were nabbed in a drug session in Barangay Addition Hills.
Police said around 1.5 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P10,200 and drug paraphernalia were confiscated from Dan Mark Navallesca, 31; Eduardo Jacinto, 51, and Wilfredo Lamoste, 56.
In Navotas, Jeffrey Flores, a pedicab driver, was arrested by anti-narcotics officers in Barangay San Roque.
Police said they recovered 11 sachets of shabu worth more than P100,000 from Flores.
The suspects are being held by police on charges of violating Republic Act 9165 or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act.
