CANDELARIA, Quezon, Philippines — A laborer was arrested in this town on Monday for allegedly raping and killing an eight-year-old girl in Barangay Masin Sur.
Lt. Col. Jezreel Calderon, town police chief, identified the suspect as Ricardo Burce, 55, a native of Tabaco, Albay.
The victim, a Grade 3 student, was found dead in a grassy portion of a subdivision at around 3:30 p.m. on Monday.
She was last seen playing with her friends near her house on Sunday.
