TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — A police officer was killed while two others were wounded in an encounter with suspected New People’s Army rebels in San Guillermo, Isabela yesterday.
Initial reports said the casualties are with the 205th Mobile Force Company who responded to reports on the presence of armed men in Barangay Burgos at around 5 a.m.
Police said the skirmishes were ongoing yesterday afternoon.
