SUAL, Pangasinan, Philippines — Around 100 kilos of milkfish were confiscated in Barangay Poblacion in this town on Thursday night.
Joe Caburao, the driver of the tricycle where the milkfish were loaded, and Jannet Barreto, both residents of Barangay Bacquioen, failed to present the necessary documents.
Benjamin Clark Cruz of the fishery protection and law enforcement group said the fish were found not fit for human consumption.
Police said Caburao and Barreto face charges for violation of the Fisheries Code.
