MANILA, Philippines — A patrol vehicle of Barangay Sucat, Muntinlupa City was riddled with bullets from a high-powered gun before dawn on Monday.
Unidentified men in a black Toyota Innova fired at the patrol vehicle, which was parked along Marina Heights Avenue, at around 4:20 a.m., police said.
Barangay watchmen Roger Oliva Jr., Tauton Francisco Jr. and Florencio Dabi were sipping coffee at a nearby waiting shed when they heard gunshots.
Police later found four bullets from an M-16 rifle inside the car. They have yet to determine the motive for the shooting.
