P43 million destroyed in Cagayan market fire

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Around P43 million worth of property and merchandise went up in smoke in a fire that destroyed a two-story public market in Sta. Ana, Cagayan on Sunday.

The fire reportedly started at around 10 p.m. in a store owned by Normita Rol.

The fire was declared out at about 6 a.m. yesterday.

Probers have yet to determine what caused the fire.
