TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — The secretary of the municipal government of Rizal in this province was gunned down on Thursday.
Romel Caliboso was driving his motorycle with his cousin Louie Talay on their way to Barangay Batu when the assailants on another motorbike opened fire in Barangay Gaggabutan West at around 5:20 p.m.
Master Sgt. Roderick Diamsay said Caliboso was declared dead on arrival at the Tuao District Hospital. Talay managed to escape when he fell from the motorcycle.
