Cops kill 3 drug suspects in Bulacan, robber in Quezon

MANILA, Philippines — Two alleged drug pushers were killed in a drug bust in Bulacan on Monday night while a robbery suspect was gunned down in Quezon after midnight yesterday. 

Senior Superintendent Chito Bersaluna, Bulacan police director, said Gary Israel de la Cruz and Gwynette Kylee Hong drew their guns when they sensed they had sold shabu to police officers who posed as buyers at Club Royale Resort in Malolos. 

Bersaluna said the guns used by the suspects, nine sachets of shabu, a sachet of marijuana leaves, marked money and drug paraphernalia were recovered from the fatalities.

In Zamboanga City, police said a kilo of shabu with an estimated street value of P6.8 million was  recovered from construction workers Sadam Alkari Jailani and Rajan Sahaw Jumaani and tricycle driver Ismael Indalez in a sting in Barangay Zone 4 yesterday.

Senior Superintendent Thomas Joseph Martir said it was the second biggest drug haul in Zamboanga City since last week.

In Quezon, Jeric Aureada reportedly shot it out with police officers who caught him robbing a house in Barangay Isabang, Lucena.

 Senior Superintendent Osmundo de Guzman, Quezon police director, said the fatality was tagged as the leader of a robbery group targeting subdivisions. – Ed Amoroso, Roel Pareño
