3 drug suspects slain

MANILA, Philippines — Two drug suspects were killed in stings in Quezon and Bulacan while another was gunned down by an unidentified assailant in Cavite on Wednesday.

Romeo Magsino, 54, who was on the barangay drug watchlist, was shot at close range by a man who entered his house in Barangay Sampaloc, Dasmariñas. He died on the way to a hospital.

Police are eyeing rivalry among drug pushers as the motive for the killing.

Archie Manalo and MJ Valdez reportedly shot it out with police officers who posed as buyers of shabu in Barangay Dalahican, Quezon and Bagong Nayon, Baliwag, Bulacan, respectively.

In Negros Occidental, more than 600 grams of shabu with an estimated street value of P7.6 million were recovered from Hanjie Alquiza and Roden Zaraga in Barangay Punao, San Carlos City also on Wednesday.
