1 dead, 2 hurt in Bulacan landslide

STA. MARIA, Bulacan, Philippines — A three-year-old boy died and two of his relatives were injured when a boulder, which was dislodged in a landslide, rammed their house in Barangay San Jose Patag in this town on Friday afternoon.

Superintendent Carl Omar Fiel, Sta. Maria police chief, said the body of Leonard Dorimon Jr. was pulled out from the rubble at around 4:14 a.m. yesterday.

Teresita, 60, and Andrea, 8, both surnamed Auditor, were rescued also on Friday and were taken to the Rogaciano Mercado Memorial Hospital for treatment.

Fiel said the house of the victims sits on a former quarry site.
