Quakes shake Sultan Kudarat

MANILA, Philippines — Two earthquakes shook parts of Sultan Kudarat on Monday night, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology (Phivolcs) reported yesterday. 

The tremors, with magnitudes of 4.9 and 4.5, occurred at about 10:49 p.m. and 10:54 p.m., respectively. 

The first quake struck 29 kilometers southwest of Kalamansig town. It was felt at Intensity 2 in Kalamansig and Lebak. 

The epicenter of the second tremor was traced 49 kms southwest of Kalamansig. It was felt at Intensity 3 also in Kalamansig and Lebak.
