Worker stabs brother to death in Mandaluyong City
MANILA, Philippines — A construction worker was arrested after he allegedly stabbed dead his elder brother following an argument in Barangay Addition Hills, Mandaluyong City on Monday.
John Paul Albaran, 23, was nabbed by police shortly after he killed his brother Jonathan, 25, Chief Superintendent Bernabe Balba, director of the Eastern Police District, said.
Balba ordered the filing of parricide charges against Albaran.
Investigation showed that the Albaran brothers went home both drunk at around 2 a.m.
According to their neighbors, the siblings continued drinking up to 6 a.m. until they engaged in a quarrel.
At the height of the argument, the suspect pulled out a fan knife and stabbed the victim in the chest.
Responding barangay officals rushed Jonathan to the Mandaluyong City Medical Center where he died while being treated.
