MANILA, Philippines — Kabayan party-list Rep. Ciriaco Calalang died yesterday after a massive stroke. He was 67.
His colleague, Rep. Ron Salo, said Calalang had been confined at the Delos Santos Medical Center after undergoing surgery on Sept. 17.
Calalang replaced Harry Roque Jr. as Kabayan representative in January after the latter was appointed presidential spokesman in November 2017.
Calalang is survived by his three children: lawyer Joseph Ivan, Carissa and Carlo.
His wake will be held at the St. Peter Memorial Chapels along Quezon Avenue in Quezon City starting Sept. 26.
