MANILA, Philippines — At least 190 females, including seven girls, were rescued from a recruitment agency’s “accommodation house” in Pasay City on Friday.

The National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) also arrested Munera Patag, Aisa Sailila and Samera Makot, who were identified as the ones maintaining the facilities for the women and girls, who were recruited to work in the Middle East by Happy World Resource Recruitment Agency.

The operation stemmed from information provided by a minor who was recently offloaded while she was bound for Saudi Arabia. The operators of the recruitment agency recruited the women from Cotabato, Sultan Kudarat and Maguindanao, the NBI said.

The agency’s license was suspended on Sept. 6 and the recruits were not included in the list it submitted to the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration.

The suspects were charged with violation of the migrant workers and overseas Filipinos act.
