4 drug suspects shot dead

MANILA, Philippines — Three alleged drug dealers were killed in anti-drug operations in Batangas and Laguna while another was gunned down by unidentified assailants in Bulacan on Friday.

 Reynaldo Javier and Cristopher Hinteroy reportedly pulled out  their guns when they sensed they had sold a sachet of shabu for P1,000 to undercover agents in Barangay Lipahan, San Juan, Batangas.

Police said the fatalities were on the drug watchlist and previously arrested for other crimes.

Police said Arthur Maquina was shot dead when he fired at anti-narcotics agents in Barangay Dela Paz, Biñan, Laguna at around 3 p.m.

The guns used by the suspects were recovered.

Meanwhile, suspected vigilantes were alleged to be behind the killing of a drug suspect in Bocaue, Bulacan.

The body of Von Ronnie Monteza, a resident of Barangay Bagumbayan, was found in a cemetery and bore a piece of cardboard that read “pusher ako.” – Ramon Efren Lazaro
