Vape shop owner shot dead in Binondo

MANILA, Philippines — A Filipino-Chinese businessman was gunned down in his vape shop in Binondo, Manila shortly before midnight Thursday.

Edward Pascual, 43, was tending his shop along Old Matadero street when two men, both wearing helmets, drove up on a motorcycle at around 11:50 p.m., said Senior Police Officer 4 Milbert Balinggan, Manila Police District homicide investigator.

One of the men barged into the shop and shot Pascual twice while the other stayed outside and acted as a lookout, he added.

Pascual died while being treated at the Gat Andres Bonifacio Memorial Medical Center.

Jeane Triszia, the victim’s daughter, told probers that the drug charge against her father was dropped.
