Power outage to hit Isabela, Pangasinan
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, Philippines — Parts of Isabela and Pangasinan will experience power interruptions today, the National Grid Corporation of the Philippines announced yesterday.
NGCP-Northern Luzon spokesperson Lilibeth Gaydowen said a 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. power outage would affect the areas under the distribution lines of Isabela Electric Cooperative 1 in Reina Mercedes and Iselco 2 in Naguilian and Ilagan City substation.
Gaydowen said the blackout would pave the way for maintenance works along the Gamu-Ilagan-Naguilian-Reina Mercedes 69-kiloVolt line.
An 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. power outage will also hit the areas being serviced by the Pangasinan Electric Cooperative III.
The blackout will facilitate construction works relative to the Urdaneta bypass road project.
A 30-minute power outage will also be experienced in parts of Pangasinan to allow the isolation of the Sapang-Urdaneta 69-kV line. – Eva Visperas
