MANILA, Philippines — Police arrested five persons and seized around 43 grams of shabu, with a street value of P215,000, in a drug bust in Taguig City Wednesday afternoon.
A .45 caliber pistol and drug paraphernalia were also confiscated from Tho Salik, Rakma Usman, Datumama Laguialali, Khomie Bandong and Abdul Malik Mamam, all residents of Barangay New Lower Bicutan, said Superintendent Jenny Tecson, Southern Police District spokesperson.
In Pasig, 18 persons were arrested for carrying illegal drugs in the past two days.
Among them were Niño Sanchez, Renen Porcioncula and Axel Rose Briones, who were apprehended in separate incidents for allegedly creating trouble on Wednesday.
Jomarie Santos, Michelle Bautista, Joyce Kimberly Ancheta, Jimmy Avegonia, Alex Linsangan, Dante Millarada, Jodel Dueñas and Bienvenido Gamolo Jr. were reportedly caught in a drug session in Barangay Pinagbuhatan Wednesday.
In Manila, police arrested 111 persons for various offenses, 16 of them for drugs, in an anti-crime drive over the past two days.
Manila Police District spokesman Superintendent Erwin Margarejo said 38 sachets of shabu were seized during the drive.
