Stop-and-go scheme set for ADB meet
MANILA, Philippines — Motorists should expect distruptions in traffic flow as the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) will enforce a stop-and-go scheme in some areas of Pasig and Mandaluyong for the annual meeting of the Asian Development Bank (ADB) from May 2 to 6.
The traffic scheme will be imposed along EDSA from Magallanes to Ortigas whenever a delegate’s convoy passes from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport to the ADB headquarters.
Delegates’ convoys will use the yellow lane and go through the Ayala Avenue and Shaw Boulevard flyover or tunnel while traveling along EDSA, the MMDA said.
In the Ortigas business district, intermittent stops should be expected on Julia Vargas Avenue, ADB Avenue, San Miguel Avenue, Guadix, Bank Drive and Saint Francis street.
The MMDA will also set up an ADB special lane along Saint Francis street and Bank Drive.
