19 caught in anti-drug operations

MANILA, Philippines — At least 19 suspected pushers and users were arrested in separate anti-illegal drug operations in Metro Manila in the past two days.

Twelve of the suspects were arrested in Manila.

Dennis de Jose, 26; John Patrick Simbling, 25; and Joel Divina, 40, were arrested at the corner of Quezon and Coral streets in Tondo. Three sachets of shabu were seized from them.

De Jose and Simbling are in the police drug watchlist.

Aljohn Gutierrez, 25, was caught using shabu in Barangay 823. Two sachets of shabu were confiscated from him.

Clint Villadulid, 32, was caught holding a sachet of marijuana along Morong street in Tondo. 

John Paul Cardoza, 24; Jefferson Mingao, 20; and Jano Angelo Manuel, 19, were arrested in a sting in Paco.

Wilmer Alejandro, 35; Edward Zapeda Jr., 34; Darwin Arcenas, 43; and Isidro Tudo, 26, were caught in another sting in Pandacan.

In Mandaluyong, Rowel Parantinad, Paul Art Dizon and Jomel Leocadio were arrested in Sugui Compound, Barangay Hagdang Bato Itaas.

Parantinad was apprehended in a sting while Dizon and Leocadio were caught using shabu.

In Marikina, Nicolas Rajas and Mary Ann Lim were caught using shabu in Barangay Malanday. They yielded two sachets of shabu.

In Caloocan, partners Kristine Lopez and Franco Florentin were arrested in a sting along Samson Road. Two packs of shabu were seized from them.
