Bulgarian arrested for ATM skimming

SAN FERNANDO, Pampanga, Philippines  —  A 37-year-old Bulgarian man was arrested in Barangay Dolores in this city on Wednesday night for automated teller machine (ATM) skimming.

Ivaylo Sashov Galabov allegedly yielded 103 ATM cards, a laptop,  a “point of sale” terminal used for cloning ATM cards and $1,000 in cash.

Galabov is facing charges for violation of Republic 8484 or the Access Devices Regulation Act.

Probers said  Galabov could be in cahoots with three other foreigners arrested last July for withdrawing money using a skimming device from a bank’s ATM along MacArthur highway in Barangay San Agustin also in this city.
