4 Rizal police chiefs replaced

MANILA, Philippines -  Four police chiefs in Rizal have been relieved from their posts over alleged involvement in illegal activities.

The order to replace Superintendent Christopher dela Peña of Tanay as well as Chief Inspectors Joseph Dorado Macatangay, Crisanto Bagadiong and Christopher Cabugwang of Jala-Jala, Cardona and Baras, respectively, came from Camp Crame, said Chief Superintendent MaO Aplasca, Calabarzon (Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Rizal, Quezon) police director.

Superintendent Carlito Canlas was named new Tanay police chief while Senior Inspector Armando Moises took over as Jala-Jala police chief.

Senior Inspector Reynaldo Panebe is the new head of the Cardona police. Senior Inspector Amadeo Baby Estrella is Baras police chief.

Aplasca clarified that the police chiefs in the four towns are not among those with poor performance in the campaign against illegal drugs.

Senior Superintendent Albert Ocon, Rizal police director, said the reorganization is part of the internal cleansing of the Philippine National Police.
