Cops to get training on English language

DAGUPAN CITY , Philippines  – The Ilocos Region police and the Teachers of English as Secondary Language Association of the Philippines (TESLA-Philippines) have signed an agreement to provide training on the English language to policemen.

Chief Superintendent Charlo Collado, Ilocos police acting director, and Eli Natividad, director of TESLA-Philippines, signed the memorandum of agreement on Monday.

The training will focus on grammar, pronunciation and news writing, among others.

Collado said the training aims to improve the language skills of policemen so they could be more effective in dealing with the public.
