LEGAZPI CITY , Philippines – Unidentified assailants shot dead a barangay captain and her husband in Uson, Masbate on Saturday afternoon.
Leny Bon, 33, of Barangay Aurora, and her husband Marlon, 40, were on a motorcycle when they were killed along the highway at around 6 p.m., according to Senior Inspector Malou Calubaquib, Bicol police spokesperson.
Probers recovered bullet shells for an M-16 rifle at the crime scene.
Police have yet to identify the assailant and determine the motive for the killing.
