Fire razes QC residential area, 1 injured

The fire started inside a three-story residence in Quezon City area.

MANILA, Philippines — At least one male was injured in the Quezon City fire, according to the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP).

A BFP spot investigation report said that as of Sunday afternoon, a 27-year-old male incurred a minor injury of forehead laceration from the blaze in E. Rodriguez Sr., Barangay Damayan, Quezon City. The injured male was identified as Billy Liwag.

The fire started inside the three-story residence of an individual named Ryan Cano. It began at around 2:26 p.m.

It reached the first alarm at 2:32 p.m. and fifth alarm at 2:47 p.m.

As of posting, a fire volunteer said the blaze is now under control and has affected 200 houses and 1,500 families.

It reached Task Force Alpha at 3:33 p.m.. Task Force Alpha calls for at least 23 fire truck respondents.

According to BFP, 25 trucks from their bureau and three ambulances already responded.
