NORTH COTABATO, Philippines – Three persons were killed and two others wounded in an ambush in Kabacan town on Thursday.
Senior Inspector Randy Apostol of the Kabacan police identified the fatalities as Franz Villanueva, 28; Jerry Uyanguren, 52, and his brother Roland, 38.
The victims were on two motorcycles on their way to Barangay Aringay when they were waylaid. Their companions Calixto Villasor, 41, and Richie Daniles, 32, were critically wounded.
Probers have yet to identify the perpetrators.
The incident was followed by a gun attack that killed farmer Jess Francisco. The victim was driving his motorcycle on his way home to Carmen town when two men asked him to pull over and opened fire.
