GAPAN CITY, Philippines – A councilor and his driver were shot dead in this city on Wednesday.
Councilor Sonny San Jose, 42, and Antonio Punzal, 36, were at a game fowl farm owned by businessman Roel Fracisco in Barangay Mangino at around 1:20 p.m. when men wearing masks and bull caps barged in and opened fire.
The victims died at the scene.
