DAR turns over projects to Misamis farmers
MANILA, Philippines – The Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR) has turned over P6.5 million worth of projects to a group of farmers in Misamis Oriental.
A corn and coffee processing facility, a warehouse with solar dryer and a heavy farm tractor were among those given to the Lapad Agrarian Reform Farmers’ Cooperative in Lapad, Laguindingan, Misamis Oriental.
DAR Undersecretary for Support Services Rosalinda Bistoyong said, “These projects would be a big help in the cooperative’s corn production. These would not only increase their yield and income, it would also greatly improve the quality of their corn products.”
Provincial agrarian reform program officer Zoraida Macadindang urged the people of Barangay Lapad to take care of the equipment and facilities for the benefit of future generations.
