Boy, 12, kills self

CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna, Philippines – A 12-year-old boy allegedly committed suicide in Dasmariñas City in Cavite, police said yesterday.

Alwin Madronio, a Grade 4 student, was pronounced dead on arrival at the Saint Paul Hospital, said Superintendent Joseph Arguelles, Dasmariñas police chief.

Madronio was found hanging from the ceiling of their house, with a nylon cord looped around his neck, by Jezedel Alamano around 5 p.m. on Wednesday.

Arguelles said the boy’s body bore contusions.
