DILG employee, student hurt in gun attack

TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – An employee of the Department of the Interior and Local Government and a student were seriously wounded in an attack by unidentified gunmen in Santiago City, Isabela on Friday.

Martin Bangui was driving a Mitsubishi Montero, with his wife and child on board, when armed men shot at them near a school in Barangay Buenavista.

A bullet hit Ellen Joy Felix, who was standing in front of the First Children’s School at around 4 p.m.

Bangui and Felix were taken to the hospital for treatment while his wife and child were not harmed.
