TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Three persons, including a balikbayan, died in separate motorcycle accidents in Isabela and Cagayan over the weekend.
Jonie Tabuzo, 35, said to be a member of the US Marine Corps, and his friend Arman Madayag, 34, died at the scene after their motorcycle crashed into a concrete barrier in Peñablanca, Cagayan.
Town police chief Inspector Jonalyn Tecbobolan said Tabuzo lost control of the wheel as he was driving down the road in Barangay Quibal.
Police have yet to determine if the victims were under the influence of alcohol, as they were reportedly seen having a drinking spree at the Callao Caves resort hours before the accident.
Meanwhile, Rodrigo Gabriel died after his motorcycle hit a concrete wall in Cauayan City, Isabela.
