TUGUEGARAO CITY, Philippines – Three persons died while three others were seriously injured in a collision involving a motorcycle and a tricycle in Gattaran, Cagayan on Monday night.
The fatalities were identified as motorcycle driver Marlon Ganoot, 33; his passenger Robert Antonio, and tricycle driver Israel Bareng, 22.
Ganoot and Bareng died at the scene while Antonio died while being treated at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center in this city.
Also taken to the same hospital for treatment of injuries were Eric Manuel, 30; Rene Simplicio, 45, and Reymond Bareng, 17.
Town police chief Inspector Edgardo Unista said both vehicles had no headlights as they traversed the highway in Barangay Baraccaoit at almost 7 p.m.
