MANILA, Philippines - The Supreme Court (SC) has ordered the Philippine Military Academy (PMA) to answer a new plea filed by dismissed cadet Aldrin Jeff Cudia who is seeking the release of his diploma and transcript of records.

SC spokesman Theodore Te said yesterday that the high court ordered the PMA to submit its comment on Cudia’s motion for reconsideration filed on Sept. 9.

The high tribunal upheld Cudia’s dismissal from the academy last year. It dismissed his petition with finality in April.

Te said the PMA was given 10 days from receipt of notice to comply with the order.

Cudia’s lawyer, Public Attorney’s Office chief Persida Acosta invoked humanitarian consideration, noting Cudia’s father, Renato, has been bedridden after suffering a stroke in January.
