LEGAZPI CITY, Philippines – A farmer died while 15 others were injured when a passenger jeepney fell into a ravine in Magallanes, Sorsogon, according to a report issued yesterday by Camp General Simeon Ola here.
Edmundo Homo, 50, died at the scene while the injured victims were taken to the Sorsogon Provincial Hospital for treatment.
Reports said jeepney driver Teofilo Despabeladera lost control of the wheel as the jeep was traveling in Barangay Salvacion.
Despabeladera was held at the Magallanes police station as charges were readied against him.
