KORONADAL CITY, Philippines– Social workers and policemen rescued a 13-year-old girl who was found chained up in their house in Barangay Tacuril in Lake Sebu, South Cotabato on Tuesday.
The girl appeared to be mentally handicapped, Lake Sebu social welfare and development officer Minda Loyola said on Thursday.
The rescue team reportedly found the girl naked with a padlocked chain looped around her right leg in a hut near her house.
