3 dead in CamSur hackings

CAMARINES NORTE, Philippines – Three people died in separate hacking incidents in Camarines Sur on Wednesday, police officials said.

Dionisio Botial, 54, a resident of Barangay Tagas in San Jose town, was hacked with a bolo allegedly by Silvestre Villalon, 27, around 6 a.m., according to Senior Superintendent Primo Berico Golingay, Camarines Sur police information officer.

In Bula town, Danilo Baldago, 45, a resident of Barangay San Roque in the municipality of Bula, was riding a motorcycle when Jose Cendon, 50, allegedly hacked him as he passed through Panoypoyan Road.

Cendon was arrested, Senior Inspector Ronaldo Pelagio said. 

In Pili town, Rafaela Zamora, 75, died when her brother Francisco Orquita, 78, attacked her after failing to kill his younger brother Justino, who managed to escape when he hit him with a bolo.

Zamora was declared dead on arrival at the Mother Seton Hospital.
