4 teens drown in Negros

BACOLOD CITY, Philippines – A family outing turned tragic when four teenagers drowned while swimming at a beach in Cauayan, Negros Occidental on Friday.

The bodies of two of the victims – Jeselle Diaz, 14, and Reynaldo Silvera, 13 – were recovered, but Stephanie Guimong, 15, and her sister, April Rose, 13, are still missing.

Initial investigation showed that the victims had gone swimming at Aurino Beach at around 11 a.m. and were swept away by the strong current.

Search and rescue operations for the missing Guimong siblings are ongoing.
