2 dead in Cagayan road mishap

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, Philippines – Two persons died and another was injured in a vehicular accident in Lallo town, Cagayan yesterday.

Francisco Randy Ventura, 44, and Antonio Onista, 42, died at the scene after their motorcycle collided with a passenger van in Barangay Lalafugan.

Van driver Marlon Peralta, 59, was brought to a hospital, where he was reported to be in critical condition.

The two vehicles were reportedly trying to avoid a pile of palay laid to dry on the other side of the road when the collision occurred.
