Drug dealers nabbed in Agusan, Tarlac

MANILA, Philippines - Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group of the Philippine National Police arrested suspected big time drug pushers in Agusan del Norte and Tarlac during separate operations.

CIDG chief Police Director Benjamin Magalong said operatives nabbed Abdulfarah Macatanong during a raid in Barangay Mabini, Cabadbaran City, Agusan Del Norte on Tuesday.

Macatanong, a member of the Amapaso drug ring, yielded a caliber.45 pistol, caliber.38 revolver, several magazines for different firearms and various ammunition.

Authorities also seized from the house of another gang member, Salimodin Hadji Gafur, 16 sachets of suspected shabu, four cellphones and a bank passbook, which is  allegedly used by the group for illegal drug transactions.

Magalong said  the Ampaso drug group is  the largest distributor of methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, in Northern Mindanao.

Meanwhile, CIDG agents also nabbed Jeffrey Flores, who is said to be  the number 2 in the  target list of drug personality in Tarlac.

Magalong said the operatives seized from Flores’ residence in Bonifacio Street, Barangay San Nicolas, Concepcion, Tarlac, two sachets of suspected shabu, a caliber 9mm pistol, several drugs paraphernalia and assorted ammunition. - Dennis Carcamo
