BUTUAN CITY, Philippines – A village councilman was shot dead in Barangay Cubi-Cubi, Nasipit, Agusan del Norte last Sunday night, according to a belated police report.
Police said the victim, Romeo Maranguit Ocampo, 39, was in his sari-sari store when two men posed as customers and without a word shot him in the head.
Not contented, one of the gunmen approached Ocampo and shot him again, apparently to finish him off.
