Navy gunboat runs aground off Aurora

MANILA, Philippines - A Philippine Navy gunboat ran aground in Casiguran Bay in Aurora as Typhoon Labuyo made landfall in the province last Monday, authorities said.

As of yesterday, the Patrol Gunboat-377 (PG-37) was still stuck off the coast of Barangay Bacong in Casiguran town, said Navy spokesman Lt. Cmdr. Gregory Fabic.

Fabic said a Navy assessment team found only minor damage on the gunboat.
