Dipolog 7th top performing city
DIPOLOG CITY, Philippines – The Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has ranked this Zamboanga del Norte capital as seventh among the top 10 performing component cities in the country in 2011.
The ranking was made under the Local Governance Performance Management System (LGPMS).
The LGPMS is a management and development tool that determines the capabilities and limitations of local government units (LGUs) in delivering services to the public.
It also provides information on the performance of LGUs in governance.
Dipolog City Mayor Evelyn Tang-Uy said Dipolog received a performance area index of 4.83 under the component city category, behind Laoag City, which ranked first with 4.99; Naga City, 4.93; Vigan City, 4.921; Ligao City, 4.917; Tagaytay City, 4.87; and Cabanatuan City, 4.86.
