4 Zambales inmates bolt jail

CAMP OLIVAS, Pampanga, Philippines – A police manhunt is ongoing for four inmates who bolted the Zambales provincial jail before dawn last Monday.

In a report to the regional police command here, Senior Superintendent Ricardo Santiago, Zambales police director, said the jailbreakers, identified as Ener Dolandolan, Jessie Bulatao, Leymark Canazosa and Rezon Cruz, escaped through a hole they dug in the communal comfort room of their detention cell.

The provincial jail is adjacent to the provincial agrarian reform office where the escapees slipped through at around 2 a.m. Monday, Santiago said.

Retired Superintendent Celestino Malungkot, the jail warden, said Dolandolan has a pending case of theft; Bulatao, illegal possession of firearm and ammunition; Canazosa, robbery with homicide; and Cruz, robbery.
