MANILA, Philippines - Cabanatuan City Mayor Julius Cesar Vergara has sought the support of the city council for the programs and projects embodied in the 50-year master development plan which the city government crafted when he was elected mayor in 1998.
Vergara was re-elected successively in 2001 and 2004, and after a three-year hiatus, staged a comeback to City Hall.
Addressing a session of the city council, Vergara said, “The city’s 50-year master development plan is our roadmap for real progress and prosperity.”
