DENR reviews fish pen operations

Secretary Lito Atienza of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources has ordered the review of fish pen operations in bays.

He said there is a need to check the structures especially those in Manila and Laguna bays.

The fish pens may be dismantled should these prove to impede the navigation in bays and should these harm aquaculture.
