Ariana Grande announces 8th album out on 5th tour

MANILA, Philippines — After weeks of teasing online, pop singer Ariana Grande confirmed she will be releasing her eighth album titled "Petal" later this year.
The singer posted the cover art for the upcoming album on her Instagram account accompanied by its release date, July 31.
"Petal" will drop in the middle of Ariana's "Eternal Sunshine" tour — her first in seven years — which will promote her last two albums, "Positions" and "Eternal Sunshine," and likely "Petal" too.
The black-and-white cover art also shows Ariana not donning her iconic ponytail, signaling a possible new era for the artist.
A countdown page on audio streaming platform Spotify teased that the upcoming album will have a dozen tracks. Ariana described "Petal" in a statement as "something that is full of life and growing through the cracks of something cold and hard and challenging."
The album reunites Ariana with Swedish-Persian producer Ilya Salmanzadeh who collaborated with the former on "Eternal Sunshine," which carried the singles "Yes, And?," "We Can't Be Friends (Wait For Your Love)," and "The Boy Is Mine."
Ariana's past hit songs include "Thank U Next," "7 Rings," "Positions," Dangerous Woman," "Into You," "Side to Side," "No Tears Left to Cry," "POV," "Stuck With U," "Love Me Harder," "One Last Time," and "Break Free," among many others.
Onscreen Ariana is best known for "Victorious" and the "Wicked" films. She will next be seen in "Focker-in-Law" and the 13th season of "American Horror Story."
