MANILA, Philippines — Ipinag-utos ni PhilippineNational Police (PNP) chief Gen. Rodolfo Azurin Jr. na tang­galan ng lisensya ng baril na nahuling nasangkot sa indiscriminate firing  sa nakalipas na pagsalubong sa Bagong Taon. 

Kasabay nito inatasan na ng PNP chief si  PNP Firearms and Explosive Office (PNP) director Col. Paul Kenneth Lucas na agad simulan ang  proceedings para revocation  ng  gun licenses ng mga  violators.

“The chief, FEO is directed to consolidate the names of those who violated the law on firearms use and to cause the revocation of their licences without delay, likewise to initiate the filing of appropriate criminal cases,” dagdag pa ni Azurin.

Nasa tatlo katao, kabilang ang isang tauhan ng Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) ang dinakip sa ibat-ibang lugar sa bansa matapos na masangkot sa indiscrimante firing.

Wala umanong sasantuhin sa mga lumabag lalo pa nga kung ito ay isang pulis o miyembro ng uniformed services.

Sa kabila na hindi na- zero ang insidente ng indiscriminate firing sinabi ni Azurin na ang nagdaang pagdiriwang sa bansa ay itinu­ring na generally peaceful .
