Namayapang botante ipaalam sa Comelec
MANILA, Philippines — Hinimok ng Commission on Elections (Comelec) ni Spokesperson James Jimenez ang publiko na ipaalam sa kanila kung namayapa na ang kaanak na nakarehistro bilang botante ng bansa lalo na ngayong marami ang nalagas dahil sa COVID-19.
Ayon kay Jimenez, ngayong pandemic marami ang mga binawian ng buhay kaya dapat tumulong mismo ang mga mamamayan na maiparating sa kanila ang mga pangalan upang hindi na makasali sa voter’s list, kasabay ng paghingi ng paumanhin sa publiko na agad niyang inungkat ang isyu.
“COVID-19 has taken -and is still taking- too much from us, so i apologize for bringing this up. Sadly, politics touches all aspects of our lives, intruding even upon our grief. Please consider helping us make sure that the memory of our loved ones are not sullied come elections,” ani Jimenez, sa kanyang social media account.
“If you have had someone pass recently, please inform the COMELEC office in the city or municipality where they were registered as voters. This will help ensure that their names are properly taken off the lists of voters,” aniya pa. “And that justice will be rendered to all who profiteered from the pandemic.”
