Ex -LTO employee, huli sa extortion
MANILA, Philippines — Naaresto ng mga operatiba ng Quezon City Police District (QCPD) ang isang dating empleyado ng Land Transportation Office (LTO) matapos itong ireklamo ng extortion sa isinagawang entrapment operation sa lungsod Quezon, kamakalawa.
Kinilala ni QCPD Director P/Brig. Gen. Joselito Esquivel Jr., ang nasakoteng suspect na si Analy Santos, 52 ng Brgy. Baesa, Caloocan City.
Ayon kay Esquivel, si Santos ay dinakip sa aktong tinatanggap ang P20,000.00 marked money pasado alas-11 ng tanghali kamakalawa.
Base sa imbestigasyon noong nakalipas na Nobyembre 2018 ay nagpanggap ang suspect sa biktimang si Cresentina Balatayo, 53, negosyante ng Dasmariñas Cavite na may malakas na koneksyon umano siya sa LTO.Ang biktima ay hiningan ni Santos ng P65,000 para mai-release ang van ng una na inimpound ng LTO noong Oktubre 26, 2018.
“The victim sought police assistance from District Special Operations Unit (DSOU) under Police Lt. Col. Gil Toralba after the suspect asked for an additional Php20,000 which drew suspicion that the suspect has no connections with the LTO, thus, an entrapment was conducted that resulted in her arrest,” pahayag ni Esquivel.
Nabawi rin ng mga awtoridad mula sa suspect ang P20, 000 entrapment money.
