MANILA, Philippines - The Makati City government warned residents not to engage in any transaction with a fake Facebook page using the city’s official logo that has been spreading fake news over the past few weeks.
On its official Facebook page “My Makati,” the city government said residents should not follow or like the fake account.
“We are your only official page for announcements and updates,” the city government said.
It also encouraged residents to report the fake account to Facebook.
